2014 Club Championships

The football championship is run in such a timely manner that the county final is on around Easter.
The county champions are The Railyard and they play Aughrim this Sunday in the first round of the Leinster club.

They’re sucking diesel now* and given themselves a platform for the rest of the year. Their midfielders have great engines and they could be a bit of a sleeper in the Leinster championship. Sadly they won’t be running into Buffer’s Alley down the line - the Wexford team couldn’t deliver the goods in their county championship. Ultimately though I think any team who wants to win Leinster this year will have to go through Connolly.

No, Clara play O’Loughlins in the quarters today
Dicksboro play St Martins tomorrow.
Ballyhale play the winner of the Danesfort v Tullaroan replay which is tomorrow too.

Richie Power was sent off for two yellows today also.

Plunkett’s into the Dublin SFC final after beating Jude’s 1-11 to 0-4. I think they’ll give Vincent’s* plenty of it.
