Colin Montgomerie?

Homophobe.

Dickhead.
It was Vegas ever before those lights went in. Not sure why it’s Vegas, I think it was a bit of a joke that just stuck.

Joe Walsh (Uncle of John Walsh) played with the senior team, can’t remember the year(s). Pat Hoban (Minor Manager) was on the panel in 92 & 93.
I knew Hoban in WRTC days, played freshers with him, it was easy play corner forward when he was 14, just watch the breaks or take the odd pass.

John McDonald was the greatest hurler to ever come out of Mullinavat - fact!
@thedancingbaby - for further info, Ballincollig call themselves Da Village and\or Da 'Collig. It also has its LOI stars, like Colin Healy (grandson of famous Cork hurler “Hitler” Healy) and Mark McNulty.

They are more famous in football for losing finals. They have a dreadful record in them.
Almost sure hitler Healy was a footballer Kev.

Never fulfilled his potential

He may have been, but he was definitely a hurler and that’s what he is famous for.

Was never the same after losing half his ear

Let me guess , Noel Hickey ?

There was a Mullinavat corner forward who was on the fringe of the KK panel about 10 years ago. I think his name was Michael Murphy

Maybe it’s the same fella but there was a hitler Healy on the cork winning team of 1945 too

He played a few league games alright

Think he ran and boxed as well.
Locally he is revered for collaring Ring in a famous County semi final that Ballincollig stopped the Glen going for 9-in-a-row.
Ray Cummins, JBM, Teddy Mac were all dual AI winners, but are all still more famous for hurling. It’s just the way it is in Cork.

Please don’t forget Brian Murphy

Did he have any sons? Did any if them play for KK?

He has two, Brian and Stephen. Brian would be about 32/33 now, around Brian Hogans age and played full back or corner back for O Loughlins seniors, never called up to any KK senior panel but may have been a minor. He regraded to junior this year and plays with the juniors.
Stephen is the current OLG goalie and got a called into KK senior training this summer after Eoin Murphy got injured. They also called in Richie Reid (U21 county Ballyhale goalie) and kept him but alas didn’t keep Stephen.

He is also the soundest man in the world. After party parties in the Murphy’s house are legendary
