An 8 week ban would be absolutely ridiculous. Completely disproportionate to every other punishment handed out, completely unprecedented and completely reactionary from an organisation that was happy to bury the Dublin-Armagh incident when the footage wasn’t public.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of McCann, that punishment, if true, is pure scapegoating.

Agreed to an extent and it most likely will never stick. Anyway this is all speculation at present until something concrete emerges. I’d just ask him into explain himself for the crack. If nothing else it’s be a start and a line drawn. I’d say he’s shitting himself all the same though and nothing wrong with that either.
