Presume its someone who replaced a manager mid season and was then replaced themselves after a match or two

Alot of people here nor understanding the dynamics of management
Of course players have to take responsibility too

+1

Same post could be applied to second half of Galway v KK.

Aidan O Shea sending cryptic tweets last night I see

Managers can’t do things for players. They can’t go out and play the game for them. Mayo players consistently crack when they’re close to the finishing line, if things keep consistently falling apart at the final hurdle then it’s a player problem. They make inexplicable errors they wouldn’t usually make at other stages of the game.

Their players got what they deserve, trying to scapegoat the management team is cowardly.

So on that basis Bomber, is Lee Keegan deluded or honest?

People are sick of saying same old Mayo, but it’s not really same old Mayo because this group is a unique kind of group. We are challenging these teams year-in, year out and we are still producing big days in Croke Park.

I think that it is very to say this is typical Mayo, losing a game that they could have won. Dublin were just better than us on the day and that’s the reality. Some people have to accept that. I’ve accepted it nearly… It’s just a percent, we need to get that one percent and drive home, because this group is good enough to win it.

Deluded.

He should go back and watch the game up until 55 minutes. Mayo are the dominant team, Dublin look badly rattled after goal and they look short on ideas until Mayo collapse.

It was a collapse of epic proportions. Fair play to Dublin for turning it around but there was no doubt they were aided by a string of dreadful individual errors.

Mayo lack leaders on the pitch and intuition

True but if you watch soccer you will see players who have been limited have great careers simply because they have the discipline and focus to follow manager’s instructions. It is an area in GAA completely overlooked - managers are blamed for tactics, Strategies because some players are simply not able to follow instructions. In a professional sport where you can buy replacements they would be binned. In GAA they survive a lot longer on whatever talent they have. The ability to concentrate is lacking in lots of GAA players. In professional sport it is a pre requisite to get to the top.

I’ve chosen Upper Hogan Stand tickets for Sunday. I prefer to be higher up for football as it’s not as fast moving as hurling and the ball is larger. The upper tier gives a much better perspective to see tactics playing out and movement of players.

Did you have to turn many tickets down before you got your preferred seats?

I’m not going and probably won’t even watch it on TV.

There is an All Ireland every year. The rugby World Cup only comes around every 4 years #unmissable

Make sure you bring a pullover, it can get gusty up there

No, I gave specific instructions to the chap who looks after these affairs on my behalf.

I am tempted to watch it in Slatterys. I’ll call them later to see what deals they have on tables for The Match.

Had upper cusack ones myself , but were too far back and right in the corner … Settled for lower Hogan.

There are plenty of tickets about. Certainly not the squeeze that was on in 2011 or 2013

Great call.

I’m not feeling the buzz for this final at all.

Loads of tickets about down the country today anyway, but I rang a mate in Fingal who said they can’t be got. Although he said their club draw is tonight for about 80 tickets between 300 applicants, presume most clubs would only be giving them out tonight?
