2015 All Ireland Football Championship - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE IT STOP

Of course.

It doesn’t upset me. It’s not the best system and wouldn’t even achieve what you’re hoping for.

You could be redrawing round 1 all day long trying to make it so that Leinsters and Ulster teams avoid their brethern.

No you wouldn’t - grouping Ulster, Munster and Connacht counties in one pot to face off against Leinster counties and London sorts out that particular issue straight away.

The qualifiers are fair. You loose in your provincial championship then you go into the pot and get lucky with who you get pulled out against.

If you dont like the qualifiers then don’t loose in your provincial championship.

The qualifiers stem from the provincial system which is very unfair. As I said you would be very happy with that from your ivory tower as the level of ineptitude in your own province guarantees no obstacles to the last 8.

It’s very plausible you could have two of the four Ulster teams who competed in an All Ireland QF this year facing off in a first round qualifier game. That is risible to suggest in any other province.

So you’re going to restrict it even more by pitting Leinster and London against everyone else?

Do you want to pick the venues and referees as well?

What’s your issue with that?

Scared?

I’d like to see this adopted as the official theme music for the All-Ireland qualifiers in a similar way to how the Champions League and Europa League have their own official theme music.

No I’m not scared, especially when you consider that it’s more or less what happened outside of this.

It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever though and to resort to a childlike accusation like ‘scared’ belies your claim that you possess the ‘finest sporting mind’ on this forum.

Additionally it’s nonsensical given that the teams are in the last chance saloon already.

I particularly liked it when I was accused of being ‘scared’.

It does make sense and you have yet to offer a good reason not to introduce it. It redressed an unfair provincial system. If teams can’t play each other from the same provinces then the best teams will prevail in spite of the provincial system. That is the point. It keeps the provincial system in place and then overrides the inequity of it on the national scale.

Exactly. That’s what prompted my post.

Fuck it. The qualifiers don’t work.

Let’s go back to straight knock out to stop these counties being discriminated against by being given a second chance.

About time. Fuck the qualifiers, straight knock out. @Nembo_kid wouldn’t like that because Tyrone would be gone by the end of May.

Puts us on the same level playing field as the rest of the teams which currently isn’t the case for Ulster teams.

The downside is it would take away from the GAA’s blue riband competition - The Ulster Football Championship.

Grand so. I’ll draw up a proposal and we’ll get it in for Congress.

It’s been a pleasure doing business with you, this forum will miss you badly in 2018.
