Has it ever dawned on you other sports are simply better set up? That the people talking about it recognise someone else doing it better?
We are wrong, we are the abnormal ones. I have seen how structred competitions work. The ease at which you can plan is fantastic. And i’m not talking solely about pro sport.
Our major fucking problem is our sports are just fucking brilliant. They honestly are 2 of the best spirts there is. But we are arrogant and casual about it at the same time. Arrogant about how good tgey are but casual in how they could be better.
If ireland get to the world cup final in rugby we are in deep shit and i really don’t think the ordinary armchair realises this. Rugby has mobalized. They have a smarter strategy and are putting the money back in. The GAA is in severe crisis INHO but our lethargic approach will mean it may well be too late before they react. It will die back to 1950-1970’s levels until 20/30/40 years down the road something revives it again.

I agree obviously with having it. But the fouled player largely doesn’t know he has advantage, thus he then cannot make an informed decision.

What you want would actually need Munster and Connaught losers to stay out of the qualifiers (or any teams really) till the bigger provinces whittle down the numbers.
Its a draw system you pillock. There is luck in ulster as well as anywhere else. The other 4 counties in munster hope to get a game before playing Cork or Kerry. Westmeath got what they hoped this year, opposite side to dublin and a final appearence.
Ulster is actually intitled to run off its own competition any way ot wants. It could for instance do any of the following
• reward the champions with a bye to 1/4 final
• keep the previous years 1st round competitors out of first round draw the following year
• Seed teams, reward performance
and finally last but not least
• they could send out a memo to all their county boards to tell everyone to stop fucking whinging.

Ulster is by and large very competitive so there aren’t any need for seedings. A huge gulf has developed in the other provinces which reflects poorly on the All Ireland. Ulster is the only properly functioning province out there so it doesn’t need to change. The other provinces need to buck up and the qualifier system should redress the imbalance evident at this time.
Go home rugby is dying particularly in Munster and Connacht. South Dublin is essentially Leinster rugby and Ulster can’t hack it at gaa that is why it is strong up there. Gaa is booming particularly hurling.

It won’t be obvious for a while as its only recalibrating itself now and hiring, but the rugby strategy is impressive and is actually lending itself more to people notmally of a “gaa” lending.
Rightly or wrongly the 1%ers of inter county hurling & football and likewise top level rugby and soccer is what influences the masses. Soccer is fucked cos ireland is now largely an educated and middle class country. GAA should thrive however its leading teams/games/competitions lack excitement & consistancy.
My point is rugby is mobalizing as a unit, GAA is largely reluant on local hunger. A big performance from the irish rugby team will have a huge impact. Remember they are kids. They don’t give a fuck about tradition, they follow winners. Why did guys support man u or liverpool growing up? Cos they were on tv winning. It could be the perfect storm for the IRFU

Anything different there than Mulligans goal against the Dubs a few years back or Careys point against Clare in 96 Sheflins goal against us in 2012
