2015 Club Championships - the lads are STILL at it

The standard of the provincial club hurling series has been a breath of fresh air. Some of the hurling has been superb and some great games. Way way better than the IC game at the moment.

Hughes was retarded. As was the Cross sub.

A thick man from a very thick family.

The latter?

Odd. Just presumed he wasn’t in college given he’s pretty shit at giving dirty digs. Usually Ulster players perfect the dark arts in 3rd level if they’re from a county who arent smart enough to have it drilled into them in the development squads.

Danny O’Callaghan.

He has a lot of very dubious close relatives, his family are ex Provies who have been at loggerheads with more connected Provies for years.

He has one particularly notorious first cousin.

Did they ever catch the crowd that burnt his house down during the year?

Not that I’m aware of.

Another one of the unsolved border crimes.

He has that look.

Funny (sad) to think that their own county board tried to hamper Clonmel’s amazing year only a few weeks ago. County Boards are idiots.

Hasn’t been anything to match it this year yet, but last year’s Munster club final was probably the most entertaining game I’ve ever watched. Like with the U21s, there’s a bit more openness to the club - particularly this year the IC game has gone very, very cagey. Pure constipated hurling.

St Marys and Commercials are separate clubs. The minor match was called off anyway.

Correct and correct. Not until it had to become national news. Shouldn’t have been an issue.

A few random thoughts:

Minor match was called off due to poor weather, nothing got to do with it becoming national news
The Minor Championships had been delayed all summer due to these lads involvement with Tipp minors

St Marys had their Semi-Final put back on account of the two players involvement against Newcastlewest in the 1st round of Munster and neither player started the football match.

Ross Peters has not played one minute of action in the Munster Club Championship this year.

St Marys and Kildangan both sought to have the hurling final played on that Saturday due to players involvement in Harty Cup ties during the following week.

I think what you’re saying here is that the Harty Cup is a ridiculous competition. I agree.

It’s no Fitzgibbon Cup, that’s for sure.

could be an option for Eamon after the success of Galvin’s return…they could do with his ball skills after the Dubs beat them at the basic skills of the game in the rain on all Ireland final day…
