2015 Club Championships - the lads are STILL at it

You tying yourself up in knots trying to explain how even though you were wrong you are right. As usual. It’s ok to hold your hand up and admit you were wrong you know.

I had trials for the Limerick under 6s but got fucked off the panel coz the mother drives like a snail and I was always late for training when I was 4.

He got a lot out of a team that had already shown it was ready to challenge at All-Ireland level under different management. Multiple Galway titles and they were cheated out of winning Connacht in 2011.

That’s not transformation, it’s adding to the already good work that had been done.

Rochford is clearly a decent manager at club level but it remains to be seen how he does with Mayo, and that’s all you can say.

Who or what? Teaching the pooch to sit or beg doesn’t count.

What age did you start playing U12s Harry?

In Dad’s bag.

I used to go to senior training when the ould lad was still playing and run around on the sideline. I would have been 3 or 4. Does that count?

And thats all i have said. Nimby was calling him a spoofer because he watched the 1st half from the stand.

He changed their style of play and the players themselves said he made big individual improvements to them. Thats all anyone knows about him really.

All Jim Gavin or Jack O Connor or many many managers do is coming in and carry on work. Is Jim Gavin not a good manager because he had a ready made team?

I wouldn’t have thought so but I had my eyes opened this evening

What am i wrong about? Why can you not explain what are you talking about.

Just because i didn’t take it up due to a midlife crisis or to get away from a woman i married and hate, i did it early due to having a genuine passion for it and willingness to learn.

Easy know loads of lads here from shit clubs and counties the way they are so surprised that some clubs were ahead of the rest.

His ballbag or his gear bag?

Well you wrote off castlebar a few weeks back as not being contenders. Now you have a host of exuses why you were still right in saying that. And you’re completely ignoring sids request to name the team Gilroy managed before he got the Dublin job.

He was with Vincents and did alot of the training the year he played full forward and they beat Nemo.

As for Castlebar, i admitted way back i underestimated them. They were very strong in parts today. Still lack a few ingredients but i am happy to count them as serious contenders now. I auppose i was kinda judging them on the averageness of their opponents recently.

Still think the Leinster champs will win it out.

I’ve had an unusual career so. I played senior hurling in Galway and about 14 years later made my senior football debut in Clare. I’m actually feel jaded now thinking about how long I’ve been on the go.

So when did lads here start playing hurling & football? I assumed most people started at 6 at least.

Do you remember when you’d just stroll out on a field, puck/kick a few balls, have a chat and stroll off to your position? Those were the good ol days. By the time I packed it in we were having a mini training session before the throw in

Your attitude stinks.

You should stay away from coaching/management. You’re not suited.

I probably did but I couldn’t remember jot about it for fuck sake. I wouldn’t count it in terms of playing years anyway.
