2015 Club Championships - the lads are STILL at it

Dowling is a top class hurler. It was a joke based on the other thread. Limerick front six would be great if they were all fit and motivated. Should be fitter this year but hoe teej managed to weasel out from under the bus whilst pushing his management team beneath the wheels is a mystery, and may lead to resentment at some point.

:joy: :joy: didn’t realise they won it in '09…will they beat boden? portlaoise have some clever forwards.

The gym at Portlaoises new facilities. Nothing all that impressive about it, more the fact that because they were nearly bankrupt at the time, Cheddar and his brothers built it entirely themselves at their own expense.

I honestly have no idea to be honest. I’d have a lot of time for Mal McNulty, and I think he could have them right for this one. They ‘won’t fear’ Boden in the same way as Vincent’s and have added some youth to the team this year. But I really couldn’t say tbh.

Portlaoise will win. Boden don’t win Leinster finals.

As an aside, the three O’Riordan brothers are trying to leave the JK Brackens club and transfer to Killea who don’t even have a football team😂

Almost a very unfortunate abbreviation there.

I think Portlaoise may need a goal or two to win but its not going to happen against that miserly Boden defence. Will be interesting to see if Durcan is flown back in again. I believe the sub Boden keeper wasn’t too happy with that for the semi final and ended up going to Boston with the Dub hurlers instead.

That seems strange…

It’s a serious undertaking that.

Be impressed if Boden can keep Portlaoise goalless. It’s Portlaoises defense I’d be worried for, they don’t really play a sweeper and depend on Healy to simply cover everything as well as the danger man.

He started it in Killea, which was odd at the time, no details of the fall out at the moment.

Mean the while, back in Lancashire a belter of a post appeared on the UK hoganstand forum before being removed again:
Edit, the original post is on the diaspora forum, and abridged it would be like a readers digest version of the Book of Kells.

haven’t lost one either!

Boden forwards haven’t been putting up huge scores either…very much a 50/50 game…Boden have serious fitness levels too…haven’t seen Portlaoise…

Birr would disagree.

you’re fairly scraping the barrel if you’re comparing hurling and football records ! so Kilkenny win all Irelands in football now because of their hurlers??..

The initial comment was an obvious dig at their consistent abject failure in the Leinster Club hurling championship, mate.

I was surprised you needed it explained, to be honest.
