Teams have done that plenty. You can say you train twice a day, but what’s the training?
I “train” twice a day all the time, so that’s 10/12 sessions a week. However I would say only 2-3 of those reach medium intensity and maybe 1-2 of high intensity.
Most of the morning sessions I do are no longer than 30 mins and mostly flexibility and core work. Nice way to start off the day kind of stuff.
Now if that’s what they are at grand. However if it’s all high intensity then they are in trouble.

More is not always better.[/QUOTE]
also depends if he is making them travel to sessions that are all central or if they are allowed train at home/nearby gym
the travelling can be as much a burden as the training
Dublin get away with early morning group sessions because at that time of the morning nobody lives more than 30 minutes away. In more rural counties making lads drive any sort of distance to early morning sessions is counter productive

Absolutely. Although Armagh is quite small. But I’m sure they have lads everywhere.
Incidentally, Jamie Clarke came on at wing half back in this game o_Oo_O
In other news, Laois were humiliated by Maynooth last night, all not well there I suspect, and not simply down to “dirty petrol” as being woven by management.

Armagh were down to 12 or 13 at that stage so not that surprising really. Massive year for Clarke, really needs to start doing it at county level on a consistent basis.

Ó Flaharta is still in charge of them isn’t he? Made an absolute hames of the Galway job a few years back, was in Castlebar that summer and witnessed the worst display by a Galway team that I can recall, looks like he could be doing a similar job with Laois now.
TOF is one of the many ingredients of the general malaise that is in Laois football at present. It really all stems back to the loss of Sean Dempsey and his stewardship of the development squads. McNulty played a brand of football that drove people away because he was a Nordie and the fact that the talent to do otherwise simply wasn’t there. The crowds have stayed away, the lack of appetite and enthusiasm now stems from co board to squad to fans and we’re spirralling as a result. Not TOF’s fault, but we’re ambitions greater he wouldn’t be in the job. A symptom, not the problem.
No, he didn’t. Clarke never played as a sweeper last year despite what that simpleton Spillane was saying.
You’re not viewing things in context. When did Clarke come on? Was he brought on directly to play in the half back line? Was he brought on in the forward line and then dropped back as Moriarty and Findon were dismissed? Armagh were also 3 Points up late on with a numerical disadvantage, logical to assume players may be dropped back in this case.

Sorry bomber, I neither have the inclination or the desire to argue this with you. Feel free to believe what you will, and I will do likewise. Go with God.

FFS, how can you argue with the man when you need to ask him questions?
