City doing some awful business here. McCarthy, Delph and Sterling are very poor signings.
That’s some pile of shit Delph sold the Villa fans only a few days ago
Money talks. Sure wasn’t Sherwood saying over the last few days that he is having problems getting players to leave the club. .
Is McCarthy that good? I know he doesn’t try for Ireland but I didn’t think he was a player that City would be after.
The guardian were suckered too
Mugged off. Good and proper.
What the fuck was Delphs angle? Nobody would have minding him living Villa for city but now he looks a right cunt
Didn’t see much of McCarthy for Everton last year but he was utter muck for Ireland.
Manchester United reportedly interested in Pedro from Barcelona. His new contract has a much reduced £22m release clause (though I’m sure it’s denominated in Euros in the actual contract). He’s certainly regressed an awful lot in recent seasons, can’t see him being the type of attacker United need. They already have enough guys to hang around the flanks.
He’s just not that good. On the currency exchange, I’m surprised that the English clubs haven’t been raiding European clubs more so far. They’re basically getting a massive reduction when buying in euros but don’t seem to have exploited it yet.
He was excellent 10/11/12
Benteke to Liverpool a done deal according to Sky.
Ricardo Quaresma has gone back to Besiktas. Fee about 1.5m. He’s had a rather bizarre career path. Think he’s a superb player so not sure why he keeps on getting sold or released or does he just want to keep earning new signing on fees.
November 10th? That’s very specific. Any link/video?
£26m for John Stones?
That’s the worst example of excess yet in the summer transfer window. He’s not even a good defender. His display against Italy in the U21 Euro was calamitous.
He his very average. The guardian did a preview of the Euro under 21s and the estimated market value of the three best players in each squad. Most were anywhere from £3 to 5 million with a couple of exceptions like Emre Can, Calvahlo. They then get to the English players and they have Stones and Berahinho valued at £25 million and Kane around the £40 million mark. Complete jokeshop
Who’s in for him?
Chelsea.
I’ve never even heard of this lad. I haven’t really been following the soccerball closely the last few years in fairness, so that’s more down to me I’m sure.
Thank fuck for that. I thought City were paying over the odds for yet another English ‘talent’.
With this new home-grown rule English lads are worth even more. Stones would be a decent signing for 10-15 million.
Nah, he’d be ridiculously overpriced at 10-15 million. That’s the price of an established international. He’s a very average defender in a league where defending is very average.
