You’re right, bud. I’d like your own crowd to win, but I think they’ll fall short. I’m absolutely adamant in my belief that Tipperary will win both on Sunday and in September.
Having said all that, Galway have a great chance and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they knocked the shit out of Tipp on Sunday.
Living abroad in 2009 I brought my Mrs to an Irish pub to watch Galway Tipp. I had been ranting all week about these tipp cnuts. My Mrs not having a breeze about hurling (or Tipp) rolled her eyes like she did everytime I had a rant. Up to the pub we go, not many Irish in it, a few random locals who seemed to be there to watch the banter between the Irish rather than the match itself. There was this particular stereotypical Tipp neanderthal plonked at the bar.

Dirty Tipp jersey = Check,
Sun-burned = Check,
Unwashed = Most definite
Illiterate = Probably.
He spent most of the 70 minutes making a show of himself. At the end of the match my Mrs said “are they all like that?” to which I replied “worse my dear, this particular gent has gotten out of Tipp so would be considered cultured”.
