Hand on heart, if itâs a Div 1a team were up against they believe that. Why, cozy itâs true. [quote=âFitzy, post:27, topic:22798, full:trueâ]
Locke, when KK lads are interviewed and they shite on about Waterford being a formidable team and ah sure, they have a great set up in Waterford (or insert appropriate county) and I suppose they have a great hurling tradition and look, on their day they can beat anyone, so weâre not taking this lightly at all at all. Weâre just looking forward to a hard battle on Sunday and please god, we can win it etc etc - do they walk away sniggering to themselves, or do they genuinely believe it?

Pretty busy thread here.
Not hearing any news out of the Kilkenny camp which tends to be a good thing.
Kilkenny to come out and rattle in a couple of goals in the first 10 minutes and then just pick off points for the rest of the game.
Agree with this. I even reckon Waterford would be better at defending a two point lead with fourteen men for twenty minutes, then they would be at chasing a game against 14 men trying to claw back a four point lead
A red card for a KK player or players is Waterfords only hope.
Youâre joking arenât you? Theyâll just view it as an extra man to keep behind the ball.
Kilkenny (-9) at 11/4 or at (-10) at 4/1 look to be the value bets. Cody will show no mercy
Fuck off all of you
Iâd say twill be the lowest attended AISF in awhile
Will it surpass the 8,000 odd that turned up for the Galway v Cork semi final in 1985?
I heard Kilkenny are fixing a round of SHC Club games for 6:30 Sunday evening.
Iâd say around the 30k mark
Be handier just let the game be played in Fraher field at this stage
Saw an interview with TJ Reid where he was talking about the need to start better being a focal point for them currently. Very true against Waterford youâd have to say. If Waterford went in 4 or 5 points up at half-time, one big push for 10 minutes of the second half might get them over the line.
Waterfordâs big problem is that a core weakness of theirs matches up with a major Kilkenny strength. Their backs are not confident attacking the ball to win it. They are too used to attacking the ball to break it. That is the sort of flaw that will murder you against Kilkenny. Both Galway, and on occasion Tipp, have taken on Kilkenny by having that all or nothing approach to attacking the ball at the back. That culture of hesitancy that the sweeper setup breeds is not well suited to staring down Kilkenny at the business end of the season.
Fair point. In our past 2 championship outings against KK, they were slow going up through the gears and found themselves behind in both games at HT.
If Waterford stick to the system, they donât have a hope of going 4 or 5 points up at half-time though pal.
KK will exploit the sweeper all day in a SF in Croke Park this time of year. I canât see Waterford getting any goals with the way McGrath sets them up and KK will get 2 at least.
Looking forward to big Mick and Kevin Moran going at it in midfield, Kilkenny will pull away in the last 20 as usual winning by 5-6pts.
The usual in Kilkenny v Waterford games is for Kilkenny to establish a 5-6 point lead in the first 20 minutes and coast home from there without ever really extending that lead.
Will Waterford win answer not a hope in hell.
im going to this anyway. could be very close
