2016 Allianz National Football League

Very poor so far, lots of brainless football.

Cork have rattled over 4 without reply. Couple nice ones, they have the wind this half.

Laois on the end of the mother of all beatings from Galway right now

Aidan O"Shea on for Kingston.

That Connolly lad for Cork is a bit of an egomaniac.

Limerick 5 points.

Cork up by 10, flying for the early stages of the league as usual.

Mayo look leggy.

That was a really poor penalty by the Cork player.

@Nembo_Kid

Concussion alert. Cadogan came off worst there.

This Evan Regan lad looks like another windy Mayo forward.

Stephen Rochford’s famed attention to detail is shining through in Mayo’s performance here.

Cork are a very good league team.

Early contender for shoulder of the year by Lee Keegan on Eoin Cadogan.

Ridiculous second penalty awarded to Cork and they score it this time.

My word Limerick jump to 1-9 to 1-7 ahead of Tipp.

My thoughts from the first half
League games rd. 1

Cork

  • kicking alot more
  • spreading play
  • rusty
  • backs looking ok, Cadogan especially
  • Kerrigan very confident
  • Hurley looks fotter and eager
  • more ling ball, faster delivery, big men inside
  • Cork are trying to use their size better
  • Cork playing sidelines
  • Clever football
  • Goulding working hard, looks every bit as good as Colm O’Neill when he wants to
  • Cork pushing up very high on kickouts
  • Connolly has the X-Factor, but needs to balance the long spectacular passes
  • Cork have scorers all over the pitch

Mayo

  • lacking a bit of structure
  • not as fit looking as last year, to be expected with later start
  • Mayo destroyed at kickouts
  • Over run at midfield, badly missing the O’Sheas (i realise Aidan came on) and the Castlbar crew
  • Reagan looks a good prospect and is dangerous

Effort from both sides excellent

Second good point by Conor O’Shea there.

All level Lim v Tipp

That no. 19 for Mayo looks like some ignorant roaster.

Roscommon and Down relegated.

Limerick with a great point from their opening game.

Sounded like a belter.
