Not an unexpected defeat for Laois, could and possibly should have won it, but a team starting to take shape somewhat which is very heartening. Tough run of games coming up but the sort of games thatâll do wonders for the likes of Bergin Foyle Mullaney and Maher who are all settling into the backline. not withstanding missing 4 from starting back 6 (John A, Stapleton, Joe Fitz, Campion), Laois lined out today without 4 of starting front 6 from last year, namely Hyland, Keenan, Dwyer and King. (With Fitzgerald a 5th, retired).
Given those 4 forwards are the marquee ones Iâd be quietly confident with how the team is settling and with those to get back up to speed come Championship, that weâll be well able for whoever comes second in the Round Robin (most likely Offaly or Kerry).
If not then, thatâs a whole other conversation.

My father told me today that he was bragging on about some goal he scored last year on Facebook or Twitter or something (he wouldnât be very up to date on the social networking), Cody didnât like this and as a result he was left on the bench for the rest of the year. Heâs a decent option I think, moreso than Power, Farrell and the other Kelly
