I understand what youāre saying here, and Iām sure many others think the same, but I donāt think KK are physically massive. I donāt regard them as bulked up. There are none of them as bulky as Pauric Maher is at the moment.
Itās the system that Cody has in place that has them in the right condition for most of every year, that just makes it seem that way.
Dan Shanahan said it after last years AI semi. āSeasoned, mature menā. KK arenāt bulked up, theyāre just harder than the rest.
Simply bulking up wonāt do the trick. Cody has been playing the long game since 2002 and itās what has kept us there even with all the retirements over the years.

Exactly. They are just hard cunts, but also can maintain their composure through finals, mentally and physically. Itās like they recognise that after half time in an all Ireland is āwinning timeā and they save themselves to unleash an onslaught then. They are probably aware that youād get away with physicality at that stage anyway as no ref would like to be seen to decide an all Ireland at that stage. They also are spared the ups and downs nervous energy Iād imagine. They must be nearly bored preparing for an all Ireland, focusing on maintaining their own starting places and doing their jobs while other counties heads are spinning with pressure, the occasion, tickets etc
