2016 Club Championships

I’m nearly certain a crokes lad came on corner forward in the last few minutes vs Clare in the quarter final this year. Can’t remember his name. He wasn’t named in the 26 for the Dublin game though.

Crokes were in 3 AI semis recently and lost all . They are a decent side but lack a bit of power. The were well beaten by XMG , ballymum and castlebar those years to be honest but on a day they might be dangerous .

Is Begley finished college now? How was the move back received.?

Open arms. Begley is one of their own, they knew the score. It was all about the cash. Stradbally are well used to taking in lads from other clubs, be their own or others.

That’s great. Thanks for posting that.

Tony Brosnan. Wasn’t as prominent as Burns or Kiely at minor but kicking on nicely now.

Gaelic football is very strong in Killarney town at present. Dr Crokes senior champions, Legion narrowly lost final in a replay last year, Spa are a decent intermediate team. Fossa just outside the town are producing David Clifford. Towns like Ennis and Portlaoise tend to have just one club. Killarney some town in comparsion

Thought I read during the week, Touhy was going to be togged today??

Sickening Kerry arrogance.

Unreal. Unbelievable.

Didn’t tog. Couldn’t blame him, out of contract at present.

Didn’t the GAA break up Killarney years ago?

how is it different to other years when he did tog? if he was in contract, his club might not want him to tog for instance. If he out of contract, no employer to be pissed off with him over playing

He had it in his contract that he was allowed tog for two games I’ve been told.

No contract, get injured, no club, no income.

not aware of that MBB

All of the clubs I mentioned are around for a long time. no boundaries in place either. One house could be Crokes and next door Legion. In Tralee, where you live tends to dictate which club you play for in the town

No . The three clubs are very old . The two big towns in Kerry are very well served by local rivalries .

No. That was a stag party from Ballymun

I think I’m mixing it up with Tralee, was it Mitchells that was split back in the 20’s perhaps?

They should do the same thing at intercounty level in hurling.

get over it, here is another streak of it for you. you get a better forward line out of Killarney than most counties in Ulster could put together

John Buckley, Colm Cooper, Kieran O’Leary
David Clifford, Liam Kearney (2014 all Ireland winning captain or was it 2015), James O’Donoghue

1st forward sub = Tony Brosnan
