Waterford scored 3-8 after the first sending off. I donā€™t see that happening the next day against Galway.

Joe pulled on the ball. Henderson put his hand up and suffered the consequences. Jerry Mc swung back in the first few minutes and nailed Lester Ryan i think. Twas manly stuff.

Wrong. The 87 final turned nasty when Kieran Brennan pulled across Gerry McInerney off the ball inside the first minute. Gerry Mc fucking planted him and the battle lines were drawn.

That Kilkenny 1998 team were probably the most surprised people in the country to have even reached the final after just glancing past Waterford in the semi.
