2017 All Ireland Senior Football Championship, Dublin's continued exploitation of its natural advantages

No chance anyone from mayo will be talking on the show I guess

What do you mean?

The right to reply. I don’t count mcstay as mayo 2017

A second thread for football. Football > Hurling yet again @thedancingbaby

It says a lot about how good Dublin are that they could be mentioned in the same breath as the great Wexford 4-in-a-row winning team if they retain the title next year.

The dubs could be the first ever to win 5 in a row.

No county won 7 ai’s in a decade. Kk did it in hurling

These cunts take utter bollox

Modern Ireland is crying out for a tubby corner forward to give Johnny Cooper a slight nudge and deny Dublin 5 in a row . The real story will then be the goalscorers descent into alcoholism .

Sean powter

Sean Porter .

Nembo kid and Geoff and Kev thankfully don’t post a lot on hurling thresds…

Well done Dublin
Delighted for Dublin supporters I know very well who went to portlaoise for Carlow game along with home and away league games but didn’t get a ticket for today.

That delight is tempered by the Dublin “supporters” who have bombarded me with whatsapp photos all day from their big day in Croker. I know they haven’t seen a ball kicked in 12 months. Something very wrong there lads.

Watched the game in Lanzarote in a packed pub. It was lovely actually. I was for mayo as I’m half them but it wasn’t to be. They will come again I have no doubt. The thing about Lanzarote pubs is they only have one jacks so at half time I thought I’d pull a fast one and head to another pub a few doors down to sneak the piss in.

Got there and there was half a pub glued to man United vs Everton. In pure silence by the way. On my return from the jacks an Irish accent popped up and asked what the score was. He was wearing a United top. I asked him was he serious. He said he was. I told him the dubs were 5 up and mayo were down to 13 men. He replied nice one.

Magical day for him in fairness

Tyrone have some good players and a decent manager but Jesus lads after today can we please…please…please agree that they are miles off the big 3…kerry are hanging on by a thread by the way. It could be a big 2 soon enough

Will it though? Will this defeat have serious consequences for Mayo? This team is getting on, Andy Moran’s been great this year, but he can’t keep doing this. I reckon the psychological damage from this defeat could be terminal for this Mayo team.

That was said 12 months ago mate.

Dublin are an unbelievable team, possibly the 2nd best team of all time. I thought mayo couldn’t come back from last year to today but they did.

I’m not going to doubt their resilience anymore

Congratulations yet again to Stephen Hendry, and commiserations yet again to Jimmy White.

Mayo lost that game when they took off Andy Moran in the 62nd minute, to scenes of wild delirium and a standing ovation. They were 2 points up and had the momentum but in that moment they lost their focus as their fans seemed to believe that finally, finally now was their time. By the 65th minute they were level and in the 66th they fell a point behind and never got the lead again.

A pity they don’t hand trophies out for being part of the Big 2.

Sorry, but boohoo. Shit happens. Ask your Dublin GAA supporting friends to take it up with Dublin GAA and their corporate breakfasts with tickets perhaps, but the team they support is a behemoth and it doesn’t pay for itself. Success comes at a price.

To be fair to those dubs fans who contacted you were spot on . Those people probably didn’t see the point of going to all the turkey shoots up to the final .
