She would have kicked that free as well
You’re an awful messer, mate. The first half was dreadful, full of mistakes. The 2nd half was pretty tense alright and it was a close game too which probably colours your thinking after the absolute facile hammerings that were 5 of the 7 previous knockout games. The reality though is that fisty fisty bogball is a pretty poor game that is similar to rugby in that the ref has too much of a say in who wins the game. The last few minutes yesterday when everyone was just fighting each other on the ground and then Dublin did the fisty pass backwards for 2 minutes highlighted what a shitfest of a sport it really is.
In saying that, congrats to all the Dubs on here. Hope ye had a great night.
The might and they might not but we are talking two bald men fighting over a comb .
Thought that the game swung on two moments really.
Donie Vaughan’s rush of blood to the head and Philly McMahon taking the yellow so he only coughed up a point to Cillian O’Connor, probably would have been a goal otherwise.
Should the foul on Keegan have been a penalty?
The All Ireland football championship was fabulous from its commencement at 3.30 pm yesterday to its conclusion around 5 pm yesterday .
I think you need to foul somebody in the penalty zone when the ball is in play for it to be a penalty
Keegan was fouled outside the box and the ref blew up
The Vaughan incident was a triple whammy for Mayo .
They lost a well scorable free
They lost a possible numerical advantage
And 14 v 14 suited Dublin better with their pace .
Cian O’Sullivan and Niall Scully the big winners though after seeing the Sindo’s photos from last nights bash
Why are you so anti-logic?
Since the 2008 All Ireland Final in 8 league and championship meetings, Kerry have won 6, drawn 1, the only Tyrone win effectively a dead rubber in the 2010 league (a campaign in which Tyrone were relegated).
Tyrone are back down at the level of mediocrity they’ve operated at for most of 130 years, save for the 6-7 year period they had in the last decade with an admittedly great team. We all saw the level Tyrone were at in the semi final. Kerry beat this great Dublin team in a league final and pushed Mayo most of the way in a draw and replayed semi final.
You really have to feel for mayo. This Dublin team are poxed with luck, they’ve gotten all the breaks from the refs two finals in a row and won by the minimum. Surely mayo have to catch a break some day.
Was it Kieran Shannon in a column earlier this year suggested mayo should take off moran and bring him back on again? Of all the games of the year this was the year they should have done it. If they’d had moran on the pitch for the final 10 mins…?
Then they may not have had him on the field for Lee Keegans goal.
Dry your eyes mate.
The bitterness of some rural types towards the Dublin hand that feeds them is a joy to behold sometimes.
Huh? I’m an independent observer. I’m sure you are grateful that your team have gotten so many poxy breaks to get over the line and wouldn’t begrudge it running the other way next year.
all the big decisions yesterday went in Mayo’s favour
Who told you that?
Keith Barr
He was further out but much straighter in front of the posts.
It’s hilarious. There’s a couple of Muldoons in work smouldering with rage this morning, just like @glasagusban. Bitter fuckers consumed by their own petty hatreds.
Don’t waste time with spoofers who never even go to their own county games and then try to give the billy big bollocks here after they win cc @carryharry @Matty_Hislop
