Dubs are looking slightly ragged in ways but fatigue now should not be a factor in august.

They may get much tougher games though from Meath and Kildare who will be reaching high levels of fitness. So that may be a more determining factor.

There are signs they are coming back to the pack a bit, but they are still strong favourites. Kerry put huge effort into training for the league and while they probBly trained hard enough during it too so diluting performances they were not that impressive either. Young lads are good but not sure how ready they are for Dubs/Mayo

Donaghy surely to be the next to announce? A nice trimming of experience, even if all 4 were in the process of being eased out to different degrees.

I think Dublin are expending a lot of energy protecting the unbeaten run and this may cost them later in the year. They have had serous battles against Monaghan, Kerry, Donegal and Tyrone and It’s not even Easter.

Donaghy was far better off playing basketball for the winter. The basketball will have kept him a lot sharper than plodding around in the muck and worked up his football appetite at the same time.

I expect he’ll win Footballer of the Year again now.
