2018–19 UEFA Nations League and UEFA 2020 qualifying thread

2-4 Wijnaldum

That’s a great goal

Memphis DePay could be the new Diego Forlan

Yogi Lurve’s tenure as Germany manager looks to have come to a natural end

Germany appear to not have a whole pile coming through and they’ve lost their Germanness which used to make their more limited teams overachieve with their lack of players like Lahm, Schweini and Ballack to drag them through

Ronald Koeman scored the equaliser in the 1988 European Championship semi-final against Germany in Hamburg which Holland won 2-1

Now he has managed them to victory in a European Championship qualifier against Germany in Hamburg

Holland are on the march

Koeman was not an elite club manager but he looks to be very suited to managing Holland

They need a striker or at least a top class winger. A good defensive team will make them look toothless

The Scots are very limited. Like ourselves in that they are missing a decent front man. They don’t have any decent player who can bring the rest of them along with them.

They had a chap called Tah playing centre back. He was absolutely clueless.

Nordies screwed, makes my weekend.

This. Ryan Babel played 80 plus minutes tonight. Where are the dutch strikers?

Pity be a great team with a top class striker.

I watched the last 40 minutes of the Scotland game on my Sky Go app. @Rocko I can’t get the eir sport app to work on my phone any more. Is that because of the new set up with BT and Sky Sports? I couldn’t watch Eire 21s because you can’t get eir sports on the Sky Go app. Why’s that @Rocko?

Anyway I was watching the jockos. They actually have some good players, mainly in midfield. But they’re weak at full back, centre back and upfront. McGinn was hooked after an hour and was very poor apparently. McBurnie is shite. O’Donnell the right full from Killie was muck - he was like a right footed Enda Stevens. Robertson was useless. They really need Tierney to get fit but Greg Taylor should have been playing. They had some lad I’d never heard of playing beside Mulgrew and they were both crap.

Is Charlie Mulgrew still playing for Scotland ??

McGinn seems to be shit every time he plays for Scotland

Yes.

McGinn was Scotland’s best player, bizarre that he was hooked.
