The emphasis has been much more on the downs in recent years given Italy haven’t even reached the last 16 of any of the last three World Cups

Big of a stretch classifying Italy as a decent side. They didn’t even qualify for the last World Cup.
Probably explains why it’s the only draw on the list
Bit of a stretch to classify Holland as such too given they didn’t qualify either, nor for Euro 2016
Though I suppose they do have the Ballon D’Or winner for 2019 who is dragging the rest of them up by their clogs now

However England beat them when Germany still were decent in 2016
Spain went out at the last 16 stage
England beat them away in October, as they did Croatia, winning their group
France are pretty decent and England beat them at the end of 2015
But a lot of store being placed on friendly games here and not much on competitive action
Not much about Sweden, for instance, who are a very decent side who England beat well in a World Cup quarter-final less than a year ago
