2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Mick Neville Park I’d say

Surely only a matter of time before some fans announce they’ve a non refundable hotel in Dublin booked

You just know its gonna be a Cavan man

And

Madness not having it in Enniskillen . The cunts don’t want to be seen as totally capitulating .

I stand corrected !!!

Sure it’s less than an hour on the train to Newbridge.

And the Tyrone people can watch their match in a pub in Newbridge?

Newbridge silverware, Mayo etc #lol

A shambles from start to finish.

It aint finished yet either.

This is a great, great day for the true patrons of De Association.

No, they can protest with Palestinian flags outside.

If there was a health and safety issue that stopped it in the first place what has changed since?

Waterford must already be digging their heels in for next year’s Munster Championship.

The GAA need to start copping on and arrange matches for venues which are a good fit with the crowds they will attract. That will generally mean one team has home advantage.

That’s what makes a good product and makes people want to go to games, and watch them on television.

They’ve actually done a reasonable job this year of doing this. Mayo v Galway, Roscommon v Galway, Dublin v Kilkenny, Kilkenny v Wexford, Galway v Kilkenny, Cork v Limerick, Clare v Limerick and the Ulster final were all played to full houses or near full houses.

But Waterford playing their Munster hurling championship matches in Limerick and Thurles made for paltry crowds. They made a big mistake in doing that and the games should have been played at Walsh Park even if the attendance was capped at 7,000 or 8,000. Wicklow v Dublin should have been played in Aughrim.

Round 4 football qualifiers should be played at the home venues of the teams who lose the provincial finals. Up to now they’ve been played at neutral venues and are generally very poorly attended.

Could they not allocate/ nominate x amount of stadiums fit for purpose before the championship begins … then at least every one knows where they stand.

If your names not down you’re not getting in.

Why should Provincial finalists get home advantage? Leinster and Munster are cake walks.

I don’t see how they can do that. What if Leitrim pull a Kildare, refuse to turn up? They’d have to pay them off.
