2018 All Ireland Senior Football Championship

Mayo and Kerry games against Dublin were for the most part tight enough affairs during Dublin’s three in a row run. Mayo brought Dublin to replays in both 2015 & 16 and lost the 2016 replay and 17 final both by 1 point. Kerry lost 2015 final by 3 points and 2016 semi final by 2 points.

It’s a new cast of characters trying to topple Dublin now. Signs are not terribly encouraging that we’ll witness anything like the titanic Dublin v Kerry and Dublin v Mayo match ups we’ve had at the business end over the last few years. Galway have no form as such in facing Dublin other than the league final this year. Donegal, Monaghan and Tyrone were all soundly beaten by 5, 10 and 12 points in their last knock out meeting against Dublin during the three in a row run.

And the chance of the dubs “being caught on the hop” is well truly gone after the galway simpletons decided to throw the game v Monaghan to face them.

Two years too late. Clifford made some plea for him post match.

Come in out of the sun chef

Have any of Monaghan, Tyrone or Galway won an all Ireland semi final since 09?

Galway never feared Dublin. Admittedly beating them is another story.

Tough to do if you’re not in one.

Monaghan have lost their last four semi finals. They haven’t won a semi final since 1930.

Tyrone have lost their last four semi finals as well. Last semi final win was 2008.

Galway haven’t been in a semi final since 2001, which they won on the way to winning the All Ireland. Galway have won their last three semi finals.

Problem is Maurice Fitz will get it

Then we are all in trouble

Is he good?

Fitzmaurice has a box of hate mail apparently. GAA fans are awful gobshites all the same.

Animals.

Shtap man, just shtap.

Who will he have with him?

Kerry continuing to be trailblazers in Gaelic football. To the best of my knowledge, first team to exit the Championship after winning a match.

Always be wary of Kerry when the year ends in a 9. It’s by far their most successful number, 7 of the 11 All Ireland’s since 1909.

Didn’t watch the big ball today. So, did Galway shit the togs, or field a B team? hard to believe a SF against the dubs was the preferred option, esp going in off a loss

They’ve lost all momentum today.

Seemingly very good. South Kerry loved him
