Shtap man, just shtap.
Who will he have with him?
Kerry continuing to be trailblazers in Gaelic football. To the best of my knowledge, first team to exit the Championship after winning a match.
Always be wary of Kerry when the year ends in a 9. Itās by far their most successful number, 7 of the 11 All Irelandās since 1909.
Didnāt watch the big ball today. So, did Galway shit the togs, or field a B team? hard to believe a SF against the dubs was the preferred option, esp going in off a loss
Theyāve lost all momentum today.
Seemingly very good. South Kerry loved him
Iād say none of who is there now anyway.
He will have Joe O Connor and then iād say he would get active coaches as selectors
Maurice was over Marys Cahirciveen. It was Sugrue who managed South Kerry. If they could get him back home, it would all go off.
You are right.
Actually same estimation for both down there
Very enjoyable evening in the Shtadium. I rocked up about 10 minutes before throw in and was about to pay the regulation ā¬25 for my ticket when a man looking to get rid of a ticket handed me one and wouldnāt accept any payment. I love when that sort of thing happens.
Monaghan conceding that goal against Kerry turned out to be a blessing in disguise for them. This eveningās game was the difference between a team wanting to win and a team needing to win. That wouldnāt have been the case had Monaghan not drawn against Kerry and they might well have lost ths evening, setting them up for an inevitable thrashing by Dublin.
But itās worked out perfectly for them and hopefully getting the semi-final monkey off their backs in style will inspire them to reach the final.
The Monaghan support was great all through and it was lovely to see them all enjoying themselves so thoroughly on a glorious evening by the seaside. We had our Scotstown relatives over last night too for a pre-match get together so all in all, a perfect championship football weekend.
Iād say @Tank is living up to his name inside in town right now.
Sugrue would be the idea candidate for the job, but his circumstances would make it difficult. Be hard to turn it down if it came up though.
Cc: of @Cicero_Dandi - I note that there are three Ulster teams still left in the championship and no Munster teams.
This is a great vindication for those of us who have championed Ulster football on this forum over this years.
Iām thoroughly looking forward to the all-Ulster All-Ireland semi-final, as well a first Dublin v Ulster All-Ireland final in 23 years.
The two all-Ulster All-Ireland semi-finals weāve had since the back door system was introduced were both titanic affairs.
@GeoffreyBoycott and @Sidney, I know Monaghan have a bad record in Croke Park but can you remind me what games of consequence theyāve won in Croke Park in recent years?
They beat Kildare this year and Down last year.
Before beating Dublin in the 2002 All-Ireland semi-final, Armagh hadnāt won a game of consequence in Croke Park since 1977.
Or any Ulster side for that matter. Except Donegal no Ulster side have won a game of note in Croke Park in eight years.
What circumstances? Heād probably bring Stack with him too, heās a brilliant coach.
2 young children
His own business in Portlaoise
Currently manager of Laois
Saying that, Iād be shocked if he turned it down were it to come up. Heās on a rolling contract in Laois GAA, which is convenient for him.
Kerry are on the brink of another golden era. What coach would turn down the opportunity of presiding over it if that opportunity presented itself?
Impressive guy, some cv on his website.

Be hard to walk away from the second most prestigious gigs in the game though.
