Galway are woeful to travel. Tyrone/Monaghan in Ulster was empty earlier this year. No atmosphere.
Well the typical Monaghan away crowd for a big match would be just over 10k but they could get 20k at an Ulster final if they were lucky.
This is the biggest match in 30 years. My Da is going and I’ve never seen him at a Monaghan match before. I’d say 25k Monaghan supporters, maybe 30k Tyrone supporters, 5k neutrals. I’m going to guess 60k.
That was probably the 2nd best atmosphere of any Monaghan match I’ve ever been to, after the 2013 Ulster final.
Half the county will save their travelling for the following weekend, combine that with the no show last Saturday and it’ll be a lone wolf effort from me. Add in the hidings our minors and camogie team gave the dubs the last two weekends and im calling it now, croker will engineer an easy win for dublin on Saturday, just to balance the books.
