No they aren’t.

A Gaelic football penalty is taken from the exact same distance as an association football penalty - 11 metres.

Penalties in Gaelic football have a very low conversation rate in my experience.

Ball does not travel as fast ass soccer, goals are smaller etc

Player/coach could be thinking in that moment that their side was on top and had confidence they would drive on and win.

I really feel you don’t understand the game from a playing or coaching POV at all.

Have you ever been involved with a team? A selector or anything???

If not you should. It’s enjoyable and you get a new perspective.

As far as I know Naomhan Rossiter was the designated penalty taker so was obviously a call from the line to take a point

I think you need to consider the relative goalkeeping abilities too. It may be inferior goalkeeping as opposed to better shooting.

I don’t think that’s true, they have a pretty high conversation rate, but controversial non-penalties have an even higher conversation rate.
