The story going was Cluxton looked for parity with the big names and was refused. Didn’t go down well.
The biggest of many mistakes that Parnell’s made was importing watery, surrender monkeys like Parkinson, Begley and Rooney. With the money they were paying they should have imported players with some semblance of a backbone.

Never saw Parnells as a big club. Word on the street is that the policy of bringing in outsiders has practically destroyed the club with little or no success for it either. The money they got as well is gone and they are a few financial issues.

There was probably no need for them but shur the money was there to be spent. they had a meteoric rise through the ranks in the hurling as well but now appear to be in freefall. Was it the pitches up in collinstown that na Fianna are now using that they made all the money on?
Parnells are some cunts. They have the walls full of pics of old teams but none of serial winner Cluxton. Thomas Davis nearly took a court case questioning the senior A classifications this year and Parnells go and do this. The quitting tenet espoused by their Laois playing contingent has obviously permeated into the executive committee.

Ah in defense of Talty, he has been there for donkeys years good times and bad. He does prostitute himself about the Dublin club scene as a coach/Trainer. Not sure if he is doing that anymore.
