Did you watch much of the World Cup? Selecting 3 from the midfield that lost 4-2 and got to the final by beating a shit England side on the weak side of the draw. Hazard was my player of the tournament, Modric deserves his place but Kante has to be there. De Brunye was very poor as was Lukaku against France.

Completely forgot about Spain v Portugal.
I thought most of the first week bar that and Germany-Mexico was poor, but it picked up dramatically around the time of the Argentina-Croatia game and then Serbia-Switzerland the following night.
Argentina-Nigeria, Germany-Sweden, Germany-South Korea, England-Colombia, England-Croatia all had drama in abundance. Brazil-Belgium was a heavyweight clash which delivered.
Colombiaâs performance against Poland was memorable even if it proved fleeting.
Musaâs volleyed goal for Nigeria against Iceland was another one I loved.

looks there are lads above including Kieran bloody trippier in their team for a decent game v tunisia and a free kick , so look i dont necessarily agree with that either but there you go
for a start we cant base a team off just the final and im not buying into the populist âeasier halfâ of the thing.
for the croatian mid- Perisic had a brilliant tournament capped by a great goal today, a vital strike v england who were there on merit btw and was excellent against argentina and russia also
rakitic was excellent againts argentina, russia was superb against england and was influential today but noticebly tired
Ill entertain Pogba yes but i thought Frenace were built about a solid core and Varanne was their player of thing
my omission of Hazard is a miss and as i said he will make the bench- i thought the de bruyne v belgium and the way he took control of that mess v japan were standouts
btw the only england player who made an impression on me was Maguire
i couldnt be having trippier at all, lads picking him over Vrslajko and Pickford keeper of the tournament??

You can think that, you would be wrong but feel free to think it. It wasnât a tournament with many outstanding centre forwards but the likes of Giroud and Mandzucic offered so much more to their sides. I would have Lukaku and Kane below them as they were too hit and miss
