Itâs a world cup final befitting of this particular tournament
Itâs had mistakes, a quality goal, a VAR decision and a not significantly high standard of football.
However,like the tournament, itâs been highly entertaining.

Thatâs bang on. If the ball moved a lot then itâs not a penalty but he doesnât need to have his hand out like that.
It was soft but a penalty and consistent with how handballs have been refereed in the tournament.
Itâs not a penalty. Even Mark Clattenburg says so. Pogba challenges Mandzukic for first goal too and heâs offside. This is scandalous

I actually agree with Ronnie Whelan for once. The divided opinions tell the story.
People can say World Cup finals shouldnât be refereed differently, and maybe thatâs true. But for me you have to be 100% sure to give it in a World Cup final, especially on a replay.
The referee was clearly nowhere near 100% sure. He was probably 60% sure.
