The lads claiming Serie A is better than the Premier League being shown up yet again. If Ole had subbed off Fred when he was on a yellow there could be 4 English teams in the last 8.
Last year shown up as an aberration with the previous year seeing the EPL provide all four finalists in the two flagship European competitions, with Man City only eliminated by Spurs and Man United once again letting down the coefficient by losing to Barcelona.

Bayern presumably red hot favourites to win it out. Bayern historically have a very poor record against English clubs in the tournament. Liverpool I believe have never lost to Bayern in the European Cup and beat them fairly handily home and away two seasons ago.
