Both part time sides getting huge results away on a Monday night
Whilst harps are bolluxed anyway and itâs more a reflection of the malaise in Cork thats a massive win for the bsc in derry
Junkees beaten

Super Saints could not compete with the moneybags of Rovers, ââtis no time for craft beer Iâm afraid.

Cork City FC wish to confirm that John Caulfield will step down from his position as first team manager with immediate effect. The club and John Caulfield came to a mutual agreement today at Bishopstown Stadium.
Speaking on this announcement, Cork City FC chairman Declan Carey said âEveryone at the club is hugely grateful for everything John Caulfield has done for the club, the city and Cork. He holds every record as a player and a manager. He leaves the club with all of our best wishes and we look forward to welcoming John to Turnerâs Cross in the future.â
John Caulfield first took charge of Cork City in the 2014 season, steering the club to a 2nd place position in the league and back to European competition for the first time since 2009. He went on to two further 2nd place finishes, winning an FAI Cup in 2016 and then winning a league and FAI Cup double in 2017. The club has also held the Munster Senior Cup since 2016 and won three successive Presidentâs Cups in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Speaking today, John said âI feel the time is right to part ways with the club. I would like to thank the players and backroom team for the huge success brought to the club since 2014. I wish everyone the best for the rest of the 2019 season and look forward to attending games as a supporter in the stands.â
The club will appoint an interim manager for the foreseeable future, and then begin a thorough recruitment process for a new first team manager. A further statement will follow in the coming days.
Roderick âRoddyâ Collins is dusting down his CV.
Colin Healy is say.
For the interim role probably, but a big step to appoint him full time. Not that stranger decisions arenât made every day in football.
Itâs only the League of Ireland pal.
Roy Keane is the obvious choice
@mickee321 whoâd be the favourite for that job?
they will 100% talk to Stephen Henderson to see if wants to leave a secure job in De Puy to take on a full time roll with a basketcase LOI club that wont be able to pay half his current salary
id imagine he is top of the list - id be shocked if he took it - heâs happy enough id say with cobh
i wouldnt be suprised if someone like Owen Heary came down tbh
No a hope ,Healy for a while, and probably Colin o Brien, the king is d ead long live the king, Johnny C holds the club record for goals, cups and league title- Europe,3 cups and a league in 6 years, plus runners up in several FAI cup finals, presidents cups etc etc,I predict within 2 years he will be offered, but turn down the managerial job ,FORAS board are a fucking joke,Declan Carey chairman wouldnât open the purse this season hence the dissapointing crowds/ success of late
Was chatting to Dara o Connor ( ex UCD, probably the next decent Irish international in the v near future) yesterday in the Bishoptown bar,he openly admitted being vv frustrated ref our recent form,I heâd no answers, theyâre hitting everything bar the bloody net- confidence is sapped, informed him that the 1600 at the city / harps match were the core not the missing 4000+ and that we will be there come hell or high water, but fir the clubâs benefits ye have to fucking win
