Far too many journey men golfers win the British open.
The Masters is parkland golf that has only been around since 1934. The Open has been around since 1860 and is the true examination of the golfer to determine the Champion Golfer of the Year.
The British open is decided on the tee times. It’s a complete farce of an event. Over 40 percent of single major winners won at the British open. It’s a total lottery.
Not 24 hours passed and TFK has sucked all the enjoyment out of watching a mans redemption arc, and missing the real story here.
Just looking at the Masters roll of honour there from recent years. Who are Trevor Immelman, Charl Schwartzel, Danny Willett, Adam Scott and Mike Weir? Never heard tell of any them winning another golf tournament.
Exactly. Lads professing to have no interest in golf or only watching a few times a year are today showing serious interest and are seemingly knowledgeable on the sport.
Golf is watched and played by utter utter wankers.

Roddick and Hewitt won slams before the likes of Nadal, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Del Porto, Murray etc won slams despite there not being a huge difference in age.
Indeed Hewitt and Roddick fell way behind the chasing pack of Berdych, Tsonga, Ferrer in those years too. Roddick only made it past the QF stage of slams 6 times from the age of 23. Hewitt only made it past the QF 4 times from the age of 21.
Both were tipped to dominate tennis after capturing titles in their early 20s but found the upturn in young talent too much in the coming years. McIlroy is similar.
