2019 Roland Garros

How many slams have Djokovic and Federer won outside of hard/grass courts?

What are you talking about? Ash Barty is in the final, I’m delighted.

The only player in the modern era to win multiple slams on every surface.

For a guy that is 37, who hasn’t played on clay in 4 years, comes back and plays his first french open in 4 years and gets to the semi’s is some achievement.

I tried watching some of Roger’s match but I found the spaniards grunting most offputting. I thought the sport had dealt with this base habit.

Straight out the lance Armstrong playbook

Lauding failure.

I’d question the wisdom of playing any mud tennis at such a venerable age. Now for the serious business. Halle as the warm up presumably and then the Big One.

He needed to in order to have any chance of being seeded top 2 at Wimbledon.

Was that not what you were doing with John Isner last night? Failed to make it past the 3rd round in any of his first nine appearances at the Championship prior to 2018, yet you were bigging up his prowess on grass.

Nope. I wasn’t lauding Isner. I was just saying how 2 giraffes were 2 of the top 4 players at last year’s Wimbledon.

That’s treble the number of clay slams Djokovic and Federer currently have collectively.

Look at all that dust blowing around the place. They will be like umpa lumpa’s when they come of the court.

First blood to Thiem, 6-2.

Is there anyone in to watch it yet? I watched the first two games of Djokovic v Thiem before heading out and the stands weren’t even a quarter full.

They can’t see the match with the dust storm.

Big, big hold for Djokovic there. He was 15-40 down.

I see Djokovic has got the game delayed.
