There isnt enough players like that anymore who play off instinct. Mbappe in fairness is very sharp tonight too.
I love to see players taking on defenders etc, there is a big shortage of that type of player these days.

Players are very rarely one on one anymore. Theres always a cover runner or one inside.
If you got Neymar one on one with boateng, boateng would end up in hospital getting untangled

Thats true too regarding systems I suppose, its a fair point.
There was a bit more flair, off the cuff play, skill etc previously it seemed to me anyway.

It was generally 4 4 2 going back to 2000-2010ish with wingers isolated on full backs and then 2V2 in the middle.
No overloading really and generally just man v man all over the field
