Can you find your earliest post on this forum highlighting how Dublin were going to dominate football?
Dublin’s success coincided with the very successful Joe Schmidt era (excluding World Cups where we were found out)
It’s etched in stone on a tablet below in Leix
This is bang on the money. Niall Scilly and Sean Bugler v Paul Flynn and Dermot Connolly? Paddy Small or Bernard Brogan? Jonny Cooper and James McCarthy are in decline. Davy Byrne is bang average and Cian McDaid is solid but no Jack Mccaffrey. Fenton, Kilkenny, Con and Dean Rock are top class but overall we are considerably weaker than 3 or 4 years ago. We are similar to Kilkenny circa 2015.
Player for player Dublin are miles worse off that they were 3 or 4 years ago, but because of their togetherness and lack of egos they remain the team to beat.
would you put Johnny cooper in same bracket as likes of macarthy Flynn Connolly brogan etc?
And because they haven’t played a decent team in 15 months
No. But he is a pale shadow of the player he was 3 years ago. Pace is gone
Yes at least Mayo will have a go. Too many teams just lie down.
Even in last year’s semi final they caused plenty of problems in the first half but Dublin played probably their best ever in the first 15 minutes of the second half.
Mayo had been on the go 6 or 7 weeks in a row too at that stage.
In fairness to Cavan and Tipperary, they both had as good a go as they could. Cavan went to to toe but just bounced off the Dubs. The physical fitness and strength just makes it such a mismatch. Same with Mayo.
Bugler will be every bit as good if not better than Flynn for me.
No, that wasn’t it. I’ll try find it later
I don’t really see it but who knows.
More than likely knowing the carry on of Murphy.
Decline? You make it sound like they were good at some point.
The best thing about all this is Ewan mackennas total meltdown on Twitter.
Ewan claiming one twitter he doesn’t get hangovers
Myself and Ewan stand undefeated. Any more nonsensical comparisons to Galway to make?
Ewan now having a meltdown because his mcgregor book wasn’t qualified for book of the year in Ireland.
