In fairness his intercounty season is usually over by early July most yearsā¦ Iād say heās mad to get back playing in winterā¦
Looked to be managing the side from the photos on Laois FB fwiw. Yer full back has a serious beard.
Yep, Galvin was in charge, the u-20 manger was over them last week
Laois went over to Netwatch āno longer Drā Cullen Park and walked all over Carla in the Welch Cup
One of the more aged Carlow mentors is telling the subs to get out from the dugout and get some fresh air. #s&c
Decent game. D 3-8. Cw 0-11
Dublin had 2 scoring bursts early and late in the half. Carlow got 8 points on the trot in between these bursts. Strong wind behind carlow in sec9nd half so they are well in this
Carlow have opted for 16 players for the last while but didnāt make much of a difference.
Dublin 3-20 Carlow 0,-18. Carlow were awful in second half. They put on a few subs that weakened them considerably. Hard to judge Dublin as they were missing so many. Donal Burke and Mark Schutte will add a lot to the forward line having both been missing last year. Ronan Hayes did well midfield which was a real weak spot last year.
Was Burke injured last year or just out of favour?
Iām pretty sure he went travelling.
Yeah that Hayes lad did well. Keeper made two very good saves.
Was the #29 that #6 from Whitehall who went off with a blood injury? Thought he looked good too.
He was travelling
Daire Gray from Whitehall. He had a decent game alright
Fully expecting Laois to get an almighty hole opening from Dublin tonight in the Walsh Cup, absolutely bare bones stuff with them at the moment.
Not sure how strong Dublin will be tonight. They had about 5 regular starters last sunday v carlow. Fitzgibbon on Sunday too
Ah Laois are way off though. Once they get their 15 or so together for Championship theyāll have a chance keep some scores down, but theyāre way behind in fitness and ballwork, and are playing a fuckload of Intermediate chaps who are getting their first taste of senior. Its not pretty at the moment, and cant see it being much better when Wexford come calling for the opening round of the league.
Hereās hoping Dublin are as weak as you suggest, for prides sake.
Barring miracles, I wouldnāt see Brennan hanging around after this year, Iād say his head must be melted.

It would be a pity cos there is a bit of talent there and a bit more coming through
No surprise, theyāll have been hurting since the last one.
I expect them to cut through Laois like a dose of the shits through @PhattPike
