Finished Dublin 1-29 laois 0-18. Laois were competitive for 60 min. Harmless enough game.
Aye I was surprised it was so close with 8 mins to go. Youâd take that for now.
Galway beat Dublin 0-19 to 0-18 in Walsh Cup semi. Good game. Both teams depleted due to Fitzgibbon
Penalties start at 1.20.
Kevin McLoughlins at 1.47
Surprised there hasnât been a thousand posts on this.
Galway up 18-14 with 2 minutes left but a goal from Conor Mac in injury time and a Paudie Foley point deep in injury time gave wexford a one point win. Wexford sounded terribly shit until half way thru the second half, Galway up by 6 or 7 about ten minutes into the second half.
Nice to win, but itâs still only the Walsh cup. Good to have some new players get a decent run out.
I saw we went from 8-3 up to 14-8 down before eventually clawing it back. I donât like winning these pre season competitions. Who won the Walsh Cup last year?
I think Galway beat us in the final?
So what youâre both saying is Galway choked at the death again?
I think we got more out of the Walsh cup this year than other years⌠the plan is to always find a few new players⌠Joe OConnor, Gary Molloy, Mikie Dwyer and Aidan Rochford all showed up well. Rochford and Molloy I feel have a good chance of making the team for championship.
Any reports from the Walsh Cup, OâByrne Cup or FBD Connacht League finals today guys? A massive day for Galway GGA fans what with being in two finals. Youâd hardly get one of them off footixing in Barcelona this weekend instead, would you?
A very entertaining game in Portlaoise last night. Both teams contributing to a good competitive match. The Wexford backs nullified the Galway goal threat, while the Wexford forwards had a bit more in that regard. Aidan Nolan in particular kept the Galway forwards on their toes. Mind you, Andrew Shore made our job a bit easier. On the Galway side, the most interesting newcomer was Ja Mannion and while he had the hurling and pace, he was very light and struggled to win possession. Wexford finished much the stronger and just about deserved victory in the end, even if it came from shite-hawkery of the highest order from the Galway defence.
Most notably was the mood of the two teams supporters, with Wexford passionately committed to supporting their team and exuberantly celebrating the finish to the game, while the Galway crowd were subdued throughout. Well done Wexford.
Wexford commentary team were full of praise for McInerny and were saying it was a positive move from a wexford perspective that they subbed him at half time. Also mentioned that the wexford fans there celebrated like it was a leinster final win.
RIP.
No flowers. Donations to retired players funds please.
Are they totally gone?
For 2021 anyway. I donât see them coming back.
Good riddance to that shite
You got the best rows in these bad boys. A great way to level a cunt you had a grudge with ahead of the new year. Proper way to put a cunt in his box as well and to show you were ready to own the bastard all over again in the coming months.
Theyâll be sadly missed.
True. But also an excuse for money hungry inter county managers to resume training in November
Thank god ye never had any
We have had more than our share in the small ball
