Ulster football cheerleaders are caught in a 1990’s, 2000’s time warp.
Donegal have been exceptional here in fairness. They’ve been strong for most of the last decade as well, the exception during a time of plummeting standards in the province.
The Harte and Mcguinness era saw all the focus go on developing tactics rather than footballers, there has never been such a poor standard of player across the province. Ulster football desperately needs to find the next Pete McGrath to inspire the province again.
