A 5th all Eire Ulster Final in 8 seasons. The IRA/SF administration in Northern Ireland would seem to be proving detrimental to the promotion of Irish sporting culture in Northern Ireland. Gaelic football is in an awful state up there.

What is true is that football is in a terrible state in the 6 counties. That can be simply explained by the influence of Tyrone tactics, the negativity of Paddy Tally in the 2nd half today has no place in Down football. Until the game up here rids itself of that then it is going nowhere. No surprise that there is no Tyrone involvement in the 2 teams who will contest* this year’s final
*It won’t be a contest, Donegal will beat Cavan by whatever score they wish.
