Not exactly accurate. Majority of clubs in east cork would have a football team. Glanmire/Sarsfield and Aghada would take football a lot more serious than others alright.

Always a few east cork men on cork football teams . The 80s had Teddy , counihan , Colm o neill and Denis Walsh there too .

Sars/Glanmire are East Cork division but thatâs the city,
Imokilly (Eadt Division) were very strong football in the 80s backbones by a lot of hurlers

Thatâs an insane number. Theyâve been a real sleeping giant judging by that but I suppose itâs harder to mobilise them all and some brilliant players can go undetected at county trials etc. Be nigh on impossible for Cork people to know every club in their county.
