They are senior in both codes now in GAA but donāt look like they can really challenge at all
Yes
Itās nearly in Limerick
Neil Ronan was/is Ballyhea, his brother Darren was an outrageous underage hurler, came up at the wrong time.
The whole town just revolves around Dairygold Iād say.
I dont think they were brothers, first cousins.
There was a cousin Ian as well a small lad. He was a dinger
Just checked, brothers.
Any time we went up to North Cork to play a match, kanturk, mallow, buttevant etc they were easy beat. There was an air of inevitability about it. They didnāt want to battle in a close match
Kinsale and back was the complete opposite then. West teams would kill you before accept a loss
Def brothers.
Neil hurled junior B for them up to last year! Wouldnāt you be delighted to see him arriving into you as a junior b full back
Kanturk hadnāt won so much as a duhallow junior championship in either code in 40 years until the early 2000s. Good haul since then and v strong underage both codes last few years
Fermoy was a garrison town? Historically these towns produce very few hurlers. Like Clonmel. Kilkenny would be the exception
Neil is a sound skin. Great that he was still tipping away.
Yes. Gaa club strong enough there as long as I can recall anyway without being exceptional. They lost County intermediate finals in both codes a few years back beaten in bith by Brandon another Garrison Town
He was a fine stylish hurler. He ever really nail down a spot? One of those lads that seemed to catch the eye off the bench and would start the next day out only to struggle to make an impact
O.M.G
Started the 99 final. On and off other than that
You heard the news about Sean Finn so? Real pity
Have they surgically removed dessie Hutchison from his pocket?
Neil scored the winning point in a county senior semi final v Imokilly whilst still U16. Ballyhea disgraced themself in the county senior final v Na Pairsaigh in 95,they scored a total of 3-1.
Hopefully as they will need to make extra room for Hoggie BOIS honker.
