A shocking run from her and the Tipp one, Becker and Adeleke carrying the other two.
Sophie Becker looked like she nearly stopped after 250m. That’s as good as they are to be fair.

The Leinster ladies delivered
Thought Matthews’ summed it up fairly. Becker had a solid leg, Healy kept us in touch for most of her leg but seemed to go backwards near the end of the home straight, an incredible run by Adeleke but we were adrift at that point and Mawdsley ran fairly well but was caught late on like the semi-final.
Mark English and Sarah Lavin left as our main medal hopes.
This is the most top 8 finishes we’ve had in European Championships which is great progress
