Conan is only coming back from injury and wouldāve started if fully fit with POM dropping out of that team.

Conan wonāt be a starter for very much longer I donāt think, may fall out of the 23 altogether within a year or two if everyone is fit (I suppose thatās always unlikely).
Well heās 29 and playing in our strongest row so unlikely to be there in a couple of years but if heās fit he starts in that team.
I mean heās fit and heās not starting this weekend. Think Doris is gonna be preferred at 8 with Beirne or Coombes at 6 before too long and Conan losing out within a year or two at the outside. We shall see anyway.
O mahony and Conway coming in probably means they are expecting a lot of kicking and line outs.
Pom plays particularly well v England too.
Ryan is blessed to be still stating imo.
Believe Farrell has been asking Munster to play Coombes in the second row where possible as well.

Doris is a terrific player but was stone useless against against France so has a way to go before cementing the 8 jersey.

Cant see Coombes cracking intl 8 long term. Seems just short of that final bit of finesse and read to go with his size and skill. Heās not a 7 so looks like 6 or row if he has ambition of green jerseys
Iād love to see Baird looked at at 8. He was unreal in the backrow when used there coming up. The more ball in hand and space he gets the better and think the row may sap energy better utilised elsewhere. Guy is a freak

I didnāt see that game which is convenient for me I suppose. But Iāve always thought that about Conan, superstar when going well but nowhere to be seen when not so. Maybe itās the nature of the position a bit or maybe Iām being a bit unfair.

Donāt know would I agree with that. Hands are decent. He is a ridiculously strong ball carrier with decent footwork. He is a massive cunt as well. Def do a job in the row but he is more than a 2nd row IMO
