Davy could get a tune out of Galway
Well done Limerick played v well there and never got out of third gear really.
Henry will need to have a long look in the mirror after that ffs
Theyâre not laughing anymore
Doubt heâll be looking in his rear view mirror heading to Galway anymore
Bizarre carry on with the Galway keeper constantly picking out the ball down on top of where Limerick had put their men. Three Galway lads standing idle beside him. No puck out strategy in terms of primary possession. Management surely to blame.
That is the possibly the most satisfying win of the past 4 years
We are going nowhere
Ah stop⌠really?
Puckouts were excellent for first half hour then he persisted in pucking it down on 14 Limerick Vs 11 Galway
hardly
Playing two inside the 21 allowed Galway players bursting into space to be free.
Reverting back to a negative approach closed those avenues for Murphy.
Shefflin appears to have lost the run of himself at HT. It appears to me that he instructed Murphy to lamp it where he did believing his troops would win it.
They werenât playing the Tipp HB line today
Is it over yet
I didnât see that coming at all. Fair to Mike Casey. His block changed the game.
Dod outstanding.
Tom Morrissey lofted golf shot into gillane for the first goal was a thing of beauty.
God help Rockos hard drive if itâs Limerick v Clare.
They never did.
Should have been nine points up at half time.
Poor third quarter.
That was it then.
Clare are only team that troubles Limerick system. They go man for man. Its a risk as you leave your full back line vulnerable but its the only way. You need manic intensity out field to try and limit exposure to full back line.
Canning said it before hand. He wanted Galwsy to play this way.
Limerick want teams to play negative/sweeper as it gives them extra man and they will destroy you.
Tbf to Dowling he simply called that spot on at half time. If Galway werenât going to raise a gallop in the second half theyâd have been as well stay in the dressing room.
And so it proved. No dumb luck there
Huge difference on the side lines.
Henry cuts a very unconvincing figure throwing his arms in the air trying to get his team going.
Kiely and Kinnerk had Galway figured out quickly.
Allied to their fitness levels & hurling ability itâs a massive ask.
Whatever team beats them will need Fitness levels to at least match them & about 4 goals.
Youâd feel sorry for Limerick, theyâd be in the discussion for greatest ever if they werenât in as bad an era for hurling as thereâs been
You just described Kilkenny.
Not Clare.
