If they’d lost yesterday, the whole thing was likely to fizzle out, but the manner of the victory (backs against the wall , down to 14 in ET etc.) will give them some boost.
They’ve only lost a couple of games now in League/Championship in past 12-18 months. Won McKenna Cup even and obviously the Glen boys have a winning mentality too.

Rian O’ Neill is a much more effective footballer though. Flynn didn’t even start for Kildare in the narrow loss recently to Dublin. There’s a sense of unfulfilled potential with Flynn who turns 29 this year.
Neither Flynn nor RON were utilised properly by management, thats for sure.
In fairness, plenty of GAA lads have received forgiveness in the past for alleged (and proven) assaults (a few in my own county). That can often be put down to the demon drink etc. Ongoing domestic abuse is significantly worse I would think
