If theyād lost yesterday, the whole thing was likely to fizzle out, but the manner of the victory (backs against the wall , down to 14 in ET etc.) will give them some boost.
Theyāve only lost a couple of games now in League/Championship in past 12-18 months. Won McKenna Cup even and obviously the Glen boys have a winning mentality too.

Thatās the problem. Heās barely kicked a ball since the All Ireland but keeps his place. He needs to benched and earn his way back in.
Be interesting to see if anyone has put their hand up during the break and forced their way in.
We now have 6 of last yearās u20 winning team involved but they have all had very limited involvement.
If McFaul gets up to speed heās one of the best players in the country around that middle third area. Huge addition to Derry.

Rian Oā Neill is a much more effective footballer though. Flynn didnāt even start for Kildare in the narrow loss recently to Dublin. Thereās a sense of unfulfilled potential with Flynn who turns 29 this year.
Neither Flynn nor RON were utilised properly by management, thats for sure.
In fairness, plenty of GAA lads have received forgiveness in the past for alleged (and proven) assaults (a few in my own county). That can often be put down to the demon drink etc. Ongoing domestic abuse is significantly worse I would think

Every county has or has had a few players who have battered some fella on a night out but gets forgiven if they are good at football.
Some even host their own podcasts.
