2023 Club Championships

Marty is in bad humour. He’s rarely this negative.

This 14 for Eire Og would want to learn to lay the ball off

Football is a brutal sport, Marty even detested the constant backwards play of the ball.

Pretty military like from Kilmacud Crokes*.

Rumours of their demise seem to have been greatly exaggerated.

Seen to have a lot more movement going forward this year

Crokes* playing with sixteen again here

As Ryan Porter says preparing a Club team is like cooking a Roast Dinner.

It’s turgid enough fair. Hard to believe that Eire Óg were involved in a 2-18 to 3-13 thriller in the Leinster preliminary quarter. They seem afraid of Kilmacud when they have possession themselves. A 7 point hammering so far.

Marty really hates football

Crokes half back line a lot more probing than recent years

He just doesnt want to be there.

The Carlow nightlife must not be appealing to him tonight.

Joseph’s were still pissed ffs

Is Theo Clancy the Crokes full-back? Surprised we haven’t seen him with the Dublin seniors yet.

Think he played underage . He’s been very good this season. McGowan at no. 6 has been excellent tonight

Clancy played 20’s this year.

Who put this on the telly?

Heard Ger Brennan say on a podcast recently that he will be the Dublin 3 for the next 5/6 years.
He’s excellent.

Crokes fitness is superb.

The big skills that separate the good and very good teams is the ability to hand pass/bounce off weaker hand and kick pass/solo off weaker foot. The Carlow lads continually turned the ball over because of this.

Disaster - Eire og are as bad as I’ve seen

I had a coach who drilled this incessantly. Simply put he’d say ‘you have 4 limbs, if you can’t play the ball off two of them, you’re 50% down immediately’.

The amount of players who can’t even hand pass off their weaker side is criminal.
