Ballinasloe not the most aesthetically pleasing venue for a tv match (on TG4 now).

The players love it as the surface is usually very good there.

Palatine after going from being county champions last year to staring down the barrel of a relegation final this year in the Carlow SFC @ChairmanDan @Fagan_ODowd. They have to beat Eire Og to avoid a relegation final. In turn a defeat for them the YIā€™s could propel them into the relegation final instead. A far cry from Pal making @peddlerscross power rankings last autumn.

Whatā€™s this ?

YIā€™s = Eire Ɠg/Young Irelands

1-5 to 0-2 at half time. Lacey on the line for Kilcoo. An excellent club to cut his teeth in his first throw of the dice at management.

He has Kilcoo purring by the looks of things.

He inherited a serious outfit. Itā€™ll be interesting to see if he can push them to their potential, and exceed expectations. Early days for him too on that journey, so I wouldnā€™t expect any miracles.

Thursday night lights for the big one.

Is the split season at fault for the Thursday night fixture?

He should be ran out of the association.

8.30 on a Friday night for Trillicks first round.

Thatā€™s guaranteed to go to penalties.

No its to maximise the Box Office nature of the spectacle.

Thereā€™ll be a massive crowd at it and the whole country will be watching on Tyrone GAA TV.

The only proper championship left in Ireland.

Pomeroy is some venue for Conleith Gilligans Edendork and Carrickmore.

Thereā€™ll be a lovely September haze there for that on a Saturday afternoon at 5.15

Fossa v Stacks the weekend. With the support Stacks have could be 4 to 5 thousand at it.

Lavey doing remarkably well in Derry for a club who lost 5 of their best players in an internal civil war last winter.

A pity as youā€™d wonder if they could have eventually gone on to repeat their 1991 All Ireland Club heroics if they hadnā€™t spectacularly self combusted. Won an Ulster Minor Club a couple of years back.
