2024 All Ireland Hurling Championship

Barrett Hayes and Harnedy have transformed cork puckout. Barrett is arguably hurler of the year and a nightmare for 6’s with his clever movement and pace.

If cork get a run on limerick they are capabale of scoring 3/4 goals and knocking limerick out. That’s why they are the most dangerous team left for Limerick.

They hurled limerick off the pitch for long periods in cork - limerick will need their best performance of the year to get through imo - especially defensively.

And a serious return to form for Gillane and lynch needed.

25 of Limerick’s 53-person backroom team would have been at that game last night. You’re not going to show them what puck-outs you’ll be rolling out in the next meeting.

I somehow doubt that. I suspect he slept more soundly after it.

Ooohhh :grinning:

Ye Limericks are no craic whatsoever

Sure I never said otherwise. I’m just saying Limerick/Kiely will have had ample time to look at how to deal with it.

SOD, our best defender, is also our worst defender when in possession.

Are you basing that on the round robin game in Cork last month?

I heard from a very good source, a fior gael, that Kinnerk got a written warning from JP after the cork game and is on a Performance Improvement Plan

Ah we are.

He’d a fine game yday, I thought he was one of the few up for the game but again had the odd clanger and at times it seemed he has a hole in the bas.

They will be going back to the private messaging group if it’s Cork Limerick semi final anyway

Cork’s issue in the past is overthinking Limerick. Go out and hurl high tempo and get a few match ups right.

It isn’t rocket science.

Gillane and Flanagan will split the three defenders.

Will play drop very deep and have a sweeper in behind.

I’d give Cork a huge chance again when they meet Limerick.

That’s been Clare and Waterfords issue as well tbf. Last Sunday was a prime example. Clare went out to beat Limerick. Limerick went out to win a Munster final. Hegarty said as much in his post match interview

Why show your hand. They were always going to win

They can look at it any way they want but pace is hard to conteract, especially on aging legs

Depends what you classify as rescued. He scored 2-11 but Antrim won the game.

Cork will fully believe that they are going out to beat what they see as the nouveau riche of Limerick. That’s the sort of confidence and pedigree that winning 30 All Irelands gives you in the hierarchical order of hurling.

Clare are great old triers but at the end of the day they rarely win anything and deep down probably don’t believe that they will win anything. As the Limericks were remarking here during the week, Clare have won 6 Munster Championships in 135 years. That’s one fewer than Declan Hannon.
